Our Program

The KBRH program is based on complete abstinence from all drugs and alcohol for those seeking help from the disease of addiction.  Our programs provide our clients with a stable and safe living environment.  The cornerstone of the KBRH program is the philosophy of the 12-step program of recovery.  Our services include intial assessment, residential support, case management, treatment planning, and aftercare; referrals & community transition planning, crisis support and outpatient counselling.

Referrals to the KBRH programs are accepted from many sources including: addiction treatment centres, physicians, hospitals, social service agencies, family members, AA and NA fellowships, employee assitance programs and concerned citizens.

Upon admittance, new residents set goals for themselves and plan what they hope to acheive through our services. Personal evaluations are completed weekly with each resident, and are reviewed with the Counsellors to assist them to stay on pace with their goals.

Once an individual has successfully completed the initial requirements of the KBRH program, the client may apply or residency at our Transition Home for up to one year.  Further participation in our recovery program permits clients to transition back to work, school, and to the community.
